Oral Surgery
Our dentists are specially trained to perform surgery for issues affecting your mouth and jaw.
Even with excellent oral hygiene, sometimes a tooth cannot be saved. If you need to have a tooth removed, we’ll explain the procedure in advance, so you know what to expect. A simple extraction is used when the tooth is visible above the gum line. Generally, you will be given local anesthesia, like what’s used when you have a cavity filled. A surgical extraction is used if there is a problem below the gum, like an impacted tooth. For this procedure, you will be sedated.
